Break The Spell
author: Barbara Taylor
Once again Ellis has a rich voice. She sings from her heart and experience. She can help you put into words things you feel yourself. She has made her guitar a good friend that can truly set the tone of a piece. Hard to believe she is so young.

Like a Vibrant Fabric
author: Linda Lee Kennedy
This is my third Ellis CD. The production on this CD is more textured and refined than "Tigers" and, despite the black jacket, it avoids the umber and ebony tones and embraces those that are brighter. That is not to say that she doesn't tackle dark subjects, such as war in "City on Fire." She uses light melodies to pull you into heavy subjects like Suzanna Vega did with "Luka."

author: Kristen Hanson
This album is incredible. It is Ellis' most polished work to date, from cover to cover. The songs are some of her best. My personal favorite is half-winged angel. Simply, if you have never listened to Ellis, start here. If you have heard her, what are you waiting for??

Depth and Passion
author: Sarah Bain
Break the Spell is definitely Ellis' break out album. Her range, the stories, the passion is so evident that one can't help but be drawn into her music. What I love most about this CD is that each time I listen to it, I discover something new about myself and who doesn't want to always be learning new things. The range of emotions is evident as is the creativity of her music. Buy this cd and you won't be disappointed.
