It’s not too often that a hip-hop artist enters the genre with a clear vision and purpose in mind, besides the oh-so-familiar phrase, “I’m trying to get this money.” How many artists do you know that really care about the integrity of their music, as well as the people that listen to it? I’ll answer that for you…not many! Enter El Prezidino, the influential and gifted rap artist from Virginia, whose breakthrough EP “The Warning” will surely change your perception of what good hip-hop music should sound like. The former professional football player turned innovative rap artist hails from Virginia Beach, a city all too familiar with setting trends in the global hip-hop community. And El Prezidino certainly will not let the state or his city down. Dino (short for Prezidino) cleverly delivers social, political, and righteous lyrics over soulful and aggressive beats that will make the most avid hip-hop lover, who has lost his interest in the genre, get excited about hip-hop again.
El Prezidino will ruffle some feathers for sure, yet he will also inspire and encourage at the same time. His messages are relevant, aggressive, and thought-provoking. Yet you cannot help but notice his swagger and commanding authority. Though not “full-blown” global yet, Dino does have a nice following in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, where he currently resides. Case in point, his MySpace page (www.myspace.com/prezidino) in its first three weeks generated more traffic than even his company (3Fingers) expected. It received over 600 friends in that short time period. Not bad for an indie artist that was unknown a couple of months ago. One thing is for sure, after the release of “The Warning” (EP), El Prezidino won’t have to worry about being unknown any longer!!

I can't front, this boy is bad (in a very good way)!! His lyrics are crazy, the beats, all that. The whole mood of the EP was really hot. When is the LP dropping? I saw him perform live too. And let's just say I won't be surprised to see him on MTV soon.
