Album Notes
The Song of Pueblo is a historic oratorio written by playwright Daniel Valdez. Performed principally in Pueblo, Colorado, the show is a celebration of the history of southern Colorado from the early days of conflict between the Spanish and Native Americans in the 1700’s to the settling of the land and eventual building of the town of Pueblo and the surrounding area.

The show is a production of El Pueblo History Museum, a property of History Colorado.

This recording was made by the members of the Song of Pueblo quartet known as “El Pueblo Ensemble.” Included in this album are 10 selected pieces from the full show.
