Album Notes

elsinore is a 4-piece Americana/folk-rock/alt-country band from Charleston and Champaign, Illinois. The band’s made up of Ryan Groff on lead vocals/acoustic & electric guitar, Dave Pride on congas & percussion/vocals, Mark Woolwine on piano/vocals, and Chris Eitel on bass/vocals. The musical interests of the group span from rock to bluegrass to metal to alt-country to folk to classical to latin and back again. Ryan has a bachelor's in Music Composition, Mark is about to recieve a Masters in Music Composition, Dave is a percussion studies major, and Chris is a massage therapist working towards a degree in Chiropractics. The quartet, as it is now, has been together since October 2004. The band has evolved over the past year into its current instrumentation, which creates a healthy mix of prolific musicality and unique stage set-up that might urge your judgements at first glance, but will hopefully settle all criticism by the time the first chord is strummed.

What a band. What a voice. Fun, beautiful, full music. I recommend it to just about anyone. Ryan Groff`s Voice is unreal.

Listening to this CD is like laying in an open field on a sunny day. It's bright when you need that burst of energy, and soft and cloudy when you're in the mood for mellow. This band has evolved beautifully to bring listeners to this CD. PRK is one of my favorite songs, and I find myself humming it long after I've stopped listening to the CD. I love that it's not like every other band out there and that each member and instrument gets its moment in the sun. Rock on Guys!

I came to EIU (Eastern Illinois University) never hearing of Elsinore, and after the first time i was able to hear them, they had become on of my top 10 bands. This CD really gives me the same feeling i got the first time i heard them (when they played Eco-Fest a year ago)

This band seems to be growing. I love the various influences they have. I'm an "americana" guy....whatever that means, but I like good music that I can listen to. I like folk, alt country, jam bands too. These guys fit in there somewhere. But the best????they sound like Elsinore. They have their own sound....that's what I like. I'm a new fan. Peace
