EM DREW welcomes you to a taste of our Saturday Sessions. All original, rough-cut, no over dubbing, "live" sessions of modern Bluesy/folk. Weaving styles of folk, blues, and a little jug band sound into simple everyday themes; fishing, love, having fun, and aliens.
A 30 second ramble “Intro” leads into “Gone Fishing”. Scattered throughout are four songs about love/blues “Train Track Blues”, “Angels”, “Dreaming of Paradise”, and “Busted”. Also sprinkled in the mix are a few funny songs: “Blue Shoes”, “Stripper Mechanic”, “Aliens”, and (“Lounge Singers” intro to) “Casino Band”. The “Ballad of Nappy” is a sad song about a horse. Also included are a couple of interesting songs “Where Have You Been?” and “Daydream Blues”. And of course, our requisite protest song; “American Man”.
The CD contains beautiful artwork and a bonus: a booklet with the words to the songs(and a sketch of Stripper Mechanic). Andy the dingo graces the cover of the booklet
as he hikes around Lake Tahoe. Mike (guitar, vocals) and Erick (harmonica, piano, vocals) have been playing and performing off and on for years in various bands. They are building their own sound as new original songs are created. This particular sampling is a little more jugband, relaxed and fun. Take a listen and tell your friends. Best Regards, EM DREW
