Original voice for sure, and gutsy lyrics - she goes out on a limb.As a rhythm guitar player, she's right up there. Good variety of music, style and good backup players.A MUST HAVE.

Album Notes

Featured as a solo artist in the Northwest for the past 25 years, Emele has performed at county fairs, NorthWest Seattle Folklife Festival, coffee houses, radio shows and theaters. She “corners the market on meditation medication” per Jim Reader, Canadian Cowboy songwriter and performer.

As a kid she took to the piano at three years which eventually led her to acoustic guitar and songwriting in the 70’s. Being a lover of various styles of music, her album “ A TIME IN THE DAY” sprouts jazzy blues, country, folk, and maybe a touch of pop.

This album has a couple of cuts with the 12 string guitar. Both these songs – Tailspin and And Wonder are fine examples of original compositions as well as every other song on the cd except “Greazy Breakfast” which was written by one of the Rodz Sisters of great acclaim!

A TIME IN THE DAY is a great album to put on while going down the road – especially after work!

If you want to hear more of Emele Clothier, catch her with the cowgirl band “HORSE CRAZY” and their new cd “COWBOY RHYTHM featuring old standards such as “Back in the Saddle” or a contemporary work from Dave Stamey, “ May the Trail Rise Up To Greet You”.

Give it a listen and enjoy the trail!

Right out'a the chute, the first song lets you know that this lady's CD is one for everybody. No matter what kind of music you listen to, Emile nails "soothing" down to a science. Creatively courageous lyrics and voice, combined with minimal yet dynamic instrumentation ... lets you feel her soul. My kind of meditation medication!...thanks Emile.

This music is especially heartfelt and definitely not the run of the mill! Well thought out songwriting from the heart! Such a variety of styles and I never get tired of listening to Emele and her great voice- it soothes me and touches my soul. She is a good guitar player too and seems to be together as one sound when she plays that Tailspin song- lots going on and exciting! I love it!
