Album Notes

Kelly Villaverde and Monika Nabarrete were both born and raised in Hawai'i and have been musical collaborators for over a decade. Together, their delivery is smooth and lyrical, well-suited to the songs on this CD.

They each have solo chances to shine, Nabarrete on the plaintive "Where Do We Go From Here" and Villaverde with the rocker, "High Places" among others. But the blending of their voices on "I Will Never Let You Fall", "When You're Away" and "It's All Right" truly define them and this project.

If you're a fan of James Taylor, Natalie Imbruglia, the Eagles, Lisa Loeb or Don Henley, you should give this a listen.

I'm bias since I liked him from Odessa, his heart would mean great work. Always kind and thoughtful too! Great job!

Take Two rates 5

His best effort so far. Some haunting songs that I found singing after I took the CD out. I especially like "High Places" although it seems a little out of place on this album since it's got a definite rock feel. I'd like to see Emerald House do an all rock album with a bigger band.

Songs about life - clever lyrics shaped in beautiful melodies
author: Barry K. Villaverde
Some songs have a way of taking you back into your own life's happenings and experiencing once more the emotions that go hand in hand. This CD is filled with them - pictures of life framed inside music the heart yearns to hear again and again. Especially fine, in my estimation, are Where Do We Go From Here, When You're Away, James and The Reed.
