Chicago's The Emerald Lizards come out swinging on their debut album "Electric Earthquake." With 10 tracks of over-caffeinated primal rock-and-roll "Electric Earthquake" bristles with energy from beginning to end. Unlike so many of today's purveyors of angst, The Emerald Lizards refuse to wallow in self pity. Instead they blast through such standout tracks as "One of Those" and "Let 'em Be" with almost manic glee. Comprised of equal parts bile, swagger, cutting humor, and adrenaline, "Electric Earthquake" provides a raw and dirty antidote to today's bland music scene.
