Album Notes

Emerge is a 5 piece smooth jazz group which formed in 2003. Led by the talented 21-year-old saxophonist Jeremy Scott the group blends Jazz, Pop and Gospel music styles. Jeremy Scott has become one of the most talented and well known Milwaukee area musicians at his young age. He has performed at major music festivals and events in Milwaukee and Chicago and has traveled the US and Europe to perform.
Milwaukee based alto-saxophohist Jeremy Scott and bassist Kal Bergendahl formed Emerge after years of playing together in contemporary and traditional jazz groups. With an idea to blend Jeremy's background of black gospel music and Kal's smooth jazz background they sought out musicians who could help them acheive a Jazz/Gospel sound. Chicago area session guitarist Benny Ramos joined them in early 2003. In search for other musicians to complete their line up, they soon found drummer Dorsey Chrisitan III and keyboardist Donte' Gillespie. Dorsey and Donte' had been playing together for 10 years. Their musicial chemistry and close friendship fit exactly what the guys were looking for.
Since forming in early 2003 Emerge has been rehearsing for and recording their debut CD "Inspiration". The CD has been recieving radio airplay on Milwaukee's smooth jazz station WJZI 93.3 FM.
Emerge performs in the greater Milwaukee and Chicago area throughout the year.
