Album Notes

Emily Boyd's debut release, Wonder, brings together an eclectic array of musical elements. From blues singers to avant-garde indie rockers, this self-released album synthesizes all of Emily's influences into a singular musical experience. The unique lyricism and experimental arrangements, thanks to artist and producer Molly Bancroft, mark Wonder as a strong beginning for a young singer-songwriter.
Born and raised in rural Ringgold, GA, Emily was constantly surrounded by music in the form of family room jam sessions of blues and southern rock classics. By the age of 15 she was already writing and performing music in local bars and festivals. In the following years she played in a variety of groups around Chattanooga, TN and Athens, GA before settling in Atlanta in 2003. The release of her debut EP from her own Art Box Records is the realization of many years of musical growth, experience, and commitment to songwriting.

Emily shows much more depth than one could expect at such a young age. This CD is a great debut from a promising artist. -- concertsinyourhome.com

These five songs are all different in style and mood but each one has such a spark. Emily's voice is unique in that its not typical girly voice - it's rich and sultry. BUY THIS CD!

Great Music, almost has a hint of a Sarah McLachlan sound to it! She needs more songs though! Loved it and I found her music on myspace along with Molly Bancroft (which by the way helped produced Emily's Album)
