From the halls of Oberlin Conservatory to the mountain lodges of Colorado, Emilyn's clear soprano voice mesmerizes her audiences.
Her gentle fingerpicking and lyrical melodies transport the listener to another place and time. Ballads of old Britain and early America, and songs of the Wild West blend with Rocky Mountain-grown originals. Her seamless phrasing and emotional sensitivity have been described as "metamorphic" and "angelic."
Years of vocal training and performance experience have made her a versatile, sensitive, and solid musician.
She has performed at the Lyons High Street concert series, where she shared a stage with Mollie O’Brien, KC Groves, and Nick and Helen Forster. She recently played on the Planet Bluegrass stage at the Festival of the Mabon.
$1 from the sale of each CD goes to benefit Environment Colorado.

Wonderful voice, great songs!

I am delighted that Emilyn has chosen to use her considerable talent to showcase folk music, from original to very old traditional songs. This music is gentle, but the messages are strong. I look forward to future releases!

Some Lone Valley is a rare gem linking acoustic music from the past to todays world. Emilyns fist album really strikes me as a needed contribution to folk music. Emilyns voice and choice of material is both tradition and contemporary in such a perfect way. I believe this being Emilyns first album she is an artist to keep an ear on in the future. From beginning to end this is a entertaining, thought provoking and calming cd. Get one you will enjoy it in many ways.
