Emma-Kate is a classically trained soprano who melds her pure lyrical voice with the timeless melodies of her Irish heritage. She is a multiple award winning artist who has a grá or love for Irish Song which is reflected in her Debut CD, ‘Aisling na nGael’ (An Irish Dream). The CD is a combination of Classical and Traditional songs mostly sung “as Gaeilge”who loves to sing many types of music including Irish traditional songs. She has performed all over the USA and has sung for the US President and been on NBC as part of the New York St Patrick's Day Parade as well as performing with the High Kings and Michael Flatley. This duet with Dublin born George Murphy is a new departure for her.
Reviewed in The Irish America Magazine; - Glory O! to the Bold Fenian Men. Somewhat in the vein of the Celtic Women in Music sound, but with less reverb, this is a beautiful album perfect for the quieter side of St.Patricks festivities.
RTE Derck Davis-"A Unique combination of Classical singing and traditional songs. This singer delights with her interpretation"
George Murphy- ‘You’re a Star’ is Ireland’s equivalent of American Idol. George Murphy became a rising star of that show which paved the way for his latest release. It is an album filled with Irish humor and it is so irresistible you want the whole family to listen near the fireplace-now that holiday’s getting nearer!
This is some press that was released that year.
“George is the most exciting vocal find in Ireland…”
George is releasing his first CD here in the US called ‘The Ballads of Archie Thompson’. The boy from Beaumont, still young at 24, has created a new collection of songs, some new, some old, but all with a fresh perspective. Tracks on the new album include ‘The Foggy Dew’ featuring John Sheahan and Barney McKenna of the Dubliners, a cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Sara’ featuring Christy Dignam of Aslan and the renowned ‘Auld Triangle’.
“George has a voice beyond his years.”
