Album Notes

From freestylin' in Inglewood High hallways to booking shows with ProFound Sound and Serekh Entertainment, comes a Los Angeles duo bound to shed light on the under represented West Coast Hip Hop Music scene.
E.M.P.C. - acronym for Emmaculate Masters of Production and Ceremony is just that. Sean Webb (Esquire), the true master of ceremony is also a nationally acclaimed writer/poet and part owner of one of the oldest Christian Bookstores in California. The last of the master producers, Tyree Dillihay (Reakshun)is an up-and-coming music producer and an established illustrator. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's E1999 Eternal LP sold over 5 million units brandishing Mr. Dillihay's packaging artwork. He hopes he can do the same on both the musician and artistic side of E.M.P.C.
Upon first listen of an E.M.P.C. song, you know in less than 3 seconds its a Hip Hop Classic. Reakshun whips archaic Hip Hop elements into alchemy and carefully programs them into new world formulas with live instrumentation. Esquire provides the seasoned vocal presence and lyrical prowess uncharacteristic of today's here-today-gone-tomorrow rappers. Together Esquire & Reakshun inspire a patented alternative sound destined to infect their listeners, just as the forefathers of soul infected them.
Winning the John Lennon Song Writing Contest is the first of many milestones to come for the group in 2002 and beyond. Both are completing their educational goals as well as pursuing their lifelong dreams to be success stories in the music industry. Currently, Sean is authoring a book of poetry entitled "Vital Signs and Idle Time" to be released soon. Reakshun is developing a cartoon based on the group. With cards like that on the table, its a million to one odds that you couldn't miss seeing E.M.P.C. in the near future.

I really was feeling EMPC. They got a wide range of sound, especially Smashin, Classic, Deeper Than Sex, 7 Day Storm and Slave. WOW!! Slave! That is a hip hop classic, any head should cop it just for that song. Its fitting to place that song at the end, because I wanted to hear more. Very well done for an independent. I just hope people don't hate on those cats. I recommend it to any hip hop listener.
