Your Last Mistake

by Empire of Lights

A laboratory experiment, a love of multiple genres fused - big sad beats with a restless vocal woven in synths, guitars and random sounds. An instrumental version that is ideal for film music is also available on our soundcloud page.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hello! We are the Empire of Lights we make alternative pop music. We have had our music played on BBC 6 music and XFm, headlined at Proud Galleries, Camden Barfly and the Chelsea Arts Club, supported Alphabeat and been introduced by Jon Snow who (in a drunken stupor) officially declared that we were flipping great.

We write and record original music and are currently promoting our band along digital avenues like radio, film, TV and digital downloads. We are based in South West London and well... would basically love to hear from anyone who likes our music!

"They are one foot ahead of most and aren't scared to take a risk which gives them that special edge to shine.".. -Beckie B, The Mag.. .. ....

"Hooky but not derivative, creative without being obnoxious, melancholy but never disingenuous.".. - Tom Robinson, BBC Introducing...

"We really f*cking love EMPIRE OF LIGHTS. They remind us of Mew a bit but with keener subtler edges on the synths. VERY beautiful songs that give us a lump in our throats and we're sure they will do the same to you.".. - Andrew Lewis, No Fiction.. .. ...

"Highly literate and melodic songs with shades of The National, Beta Band and A House.".. – John McCooke, The Good Ship
