The always ambitious Enemies of the Secret Hide-Out have let loose with their second collection of songs that will, once again, keep you reaching for the light switch. It could be said that this “group” is nothing if not a reflection of the musical and lyrical values of its only permanent member and songwriter, Dave Voigt – and it would be mostly true. Voigt, a veteran recording engineer and pop™ guy, obviously cut his musical teeth on a mixture of shag carpet, total harmonic distortion, and TEAC reel to reels . Not only did he compose and arrange these tunes in a manner which can only be described as "gon bun dem" – he once again deftly sidesteps most of the easy holes.
