EnginEars write uncompromisingly good rock and perform it live with integrity and dedication to their craft. After some critical personnel changes, this rock band from Phoenix, Arizona remains committed to their unique blend of progressive, psychedelic, avant-garde and pop styles into a heavy rock format, and make NO apologies for their music.
Founding member, Pete Dahl (vocals, Mini-moog, Hammond Organ, Korg sampling keyboard, guitar, theremin, percussion) has pressed on through the adversity that faces many independent artists today. This is rock music that has scraped up diverse influences along the way but does not cave in to the mass produced hack rock that has held major label sensibilities hostage for too many years. Stalwart newer members, guitarist/vocalist, Gary Mack, drummer/vocalist, Carl Panicucci and bass player/vocalist, Fred Perez, have aptly partnered in carrying the torch that this band fuels with high octane conviction.
Accept no substitutes for honest rock and roll. EnginEars self-titled CD of 15 songs that each stand up on their own, is well produced and in the age of download, if you can find the original tri-fold digipack on the Art Lab Records label, you have a collectors item! This band is the REAL thing; if you are fortunate enough to see one of their live shows, you’re in for a treat as they perform their songs with raw energy and good humor.
Pete enthuses, "We are crazy about performing live and feed off the audience's energy. At this point the limitation lies within our own imaginations; the inspiration is found in everyday life and the people that come to watch our shows. We are definitely a band that is all about performing live!"

Being as this was the first artist to write me ,I felt obliged but not forced to leave a review. This is a very good well worth the effort cd.My first thought was Max Webster ,King's X ,Captain Beyond and the bands and artists mentioned in the description, but these guys never really stay with the regular programming ,which is fine and makes them very original ,which is important ,I had starting noticing lately the influence of some older heavy hitters example Foo Fighters / Pat Travers Band. EnginEars are able too be in that vein but also have their own unigue style or take on "The Genre" ,which is ? ,ultimately Rock and Roll , all the way back to Grand Funk ,Bto and Edgar Winter ,Anyway the energy starts with the first track & the moods change appropriately with each track.Excellent Music Hear !!!!!!!!!!!! Also love play on Words.
