Album Notes

Debut Solo Album of Reggae Inspired Rock and Pop

Produced and arranged by award winning producer Marco Delmar
Recorded at Recording Arts, Fairfax VA
Enid Holden comes to reggae through her African roots. She is excited by the overlap of early ska and township jive from her native South Africa and the transformative role reggae has played internationally to reinstate African identity at the heart of human development, music, culture and religion.

In these original pop reggae tunes she enjoys the reggae legacy, celebrates the social freedoms of Jamaica, explores a fusion with African experience and experiments with taking reggae to the high ground of Mount Crested Butte. A sensual beat meets with a sexy take on a Jamaican beach or high on a sacred mountain.

"A warmly, rhythmic reggae album from Enid as her solo debut. Easy listening and danceable, with interesting lyrics which celebrate physical love and fascinating experiences - from saying good-bye to meeting new characters. Africa plays a large part in her inspiration, but so does contemporary U, Jamaica and a host of other influences. A strong new Reggae album and better still - very original" Angus Reid, South African poet

“A flavorful quest through music for identity and community. It is an audacious perspective, a sexy romp on the beach, a ski song on powder day, a private journey infused with her personal sense of style. This collection of songs represents an original and personal voice, appealing to many who search for a fresh and sincere alternative to mainstream reggae. Not too sweet to be sexy either." Lillian Radebe, World Inspiration
