Album Notes

Everyone wants to know about him. Everyone tries to label him but can’t describe him. Enoch is simply described as “true old school Hip Hop with a spiritual twist” or as Enoch would say, “Higher Chakra Musick!”Yeah that’s him, Enoch the 7thProphet.
His name exudes strength and spirituality. Enoch means the one who studies. Seven represents the 7th generation of Adam, and 7 is the Godnumber. The Prophet is attached because we are prophets of the now!Depth, that’s something else you get from Enoch. He takes words and life itself to another level. His responses cause you to think as do the music he creates. For instance, the simplest question: Where are youfrom? Enoch says, “Well, scientifically I am from my father's (Alfred Wikens) thought channels through my mother’s (Lucille Stevenson) womb on August 10, 1973 in Washington DC at Walter Reed Hospital. I wasraised by my grandmother, Rosie L. Stevenson.” In the mid- 80's, at the age of sixteen, Enoch began writing rhymes. As a young member of the now-disbandedgroup, Total Kaos, Enoch took to the stage as Deejay Heath Cliff. During this formative period, Enoch startedto develop his own unique rhyming style and learned how to deliver charged-anthems in school hallways, bathrooms, and even expanded to the public realm by performing on sidewalks during lunch breaks or beatboxin' in a emcee cipher. After a year of rhyming with Total Kaos, Enoch, then also known as Boogie, decided to explore Hip-Hop even further. In late 1992, Enoch joined emcee Kidd and together formed the group,Datzit. After a brief stint in the hip-hop world, Datzit disbanded in 1995. Enoch then took his rhymes to SouthCarolina, Voorhees College. Upon Enoch's 2000 graduation, he returned to His home—DC, and with the helpof best friend now DeeJay EARTH 1NE, started to work with fellow starving artist VERSE-ALL. The two formed CULTURE CYPHA within a year later but then disbanded in 2005. Enoch is more than your average emcee. Enoch is the only MALE EMCEE in the DC/MD/VA area with aFEMALE DEEJAY which is rare in the entertainment business. Enoch and DJ Earth 1NE put their best footforward in a righteous effort to kill the negativity, misogyny and violence against women in HipHop.Lecturer, Mentor, Musician, Father, Brother and emcee, Enoch the 7th Prophet offers a deviation from today's mainstream rap artists. Instead of spitting anthems for the rich, famous, pimped-out and culturally inept, heremains committed to uplifting and advocating for the underserved. Laying down lyrics that are filled withreferences to his Rastafarian religion, black pride, political revolutionaries and the plights of oppressed peopleinternationally, 7th Prophet likes to make the distinction between being a rapper and embodying hip hop.Even though Enoch is signed to Keep It Forward Records and most of the production is in-house by El-Ra iz Fonk, a producer based in Atlanta Georgia, he is currently stepping outside the box. He is working with a fewWashington, DC producers on some side projects. On the emcee side, he has worked with Boston’s Godfather,ED O.G. He has also worked with the following artists: DenD Productions, Dawn Dineen, The Package,Freedom Black, Krs-One, Jeru the Damaja, King Cee, Long Axe, Begga Ooh, Busy Bee, Adon Entertainment, and Akir. Enoch is the 80's era of hiphop but in millieumn age, he IS the new golden era. He is comparable toKRS-One because he brings that intense stage show, and Anthony Hamilton because he still possesses thathungry to become better each time he writes. Opening up for artists such as EDOG and Master Ace, Enochhas been said to perform like the "Holy Spirit" is on him. Others say he is so intense with his stageperformance that it looks like he is really enjoying himself; some even think he as too much energy. In 2009, supporters can expect to hear great music, dope shows, tours, lectures, workshops, emceeing, events and more speaking to the Youth. One of Enoch’s goals is to maintain uplifting the culture of Hip Hop while helping others along the way. “I don't set goals but set standards for my goal. I am living my life like itsgolden and positioning myself for the platinum” Lookout for Enoch to come out with an album with Culture Cypha in late 2009.

Passionate Artist!
author: Dawn Dineen
Enoch is the real deal. He is passionate not only about his own music but for the power and spirit of a positive Hip-Hop movement and any music that strives for truth and a positivity. I\'ve had the pleasure of working with him personally in the studio and he was one of the greatest, most professional artists I\'ve ever worked with, totally dedicated to his craft. Tone Scientizt is an inspiring record!

Who say Hip is Dead?
author: Uncle Rodney
When I was growing up in the eighties listening to Hip Hop, if I had to imagine what Hip Hop would sound like today had the major labels not devoured the independent labels and in the process force the conscious artist into the shadow of the underground as a means to survive a plot that was design to push them into extinction by flooding the art with an onslaught of “wackness”, this would have been my vision of what Hip Hop would sound like today. In short, check this album out and let Enoch elevate you with blows to the higher chakra.
