Just a very good album!

It seems Enrico Galetta came to us out of nowhere. But be sure, this Italian master of bass guitar has something to say and especially to play!
His debut solo album "48 hour odyssey" is chock-full of interesting ideas presented in music and shows Enrico's great bass playing. I have read a couple of reviews about the album before I listened to it. And being intrigued and moved by curiosity I got the disc. And I need to say I was more than just nicely surprised by hearing Enrico's amazing stuff!!!! The man's able to create compositions with strong sense of melody, which allows all of these eight tracks to stand on their own as memorable tunes, and he clearly puts this ahead of merely devising ways to show off his ability as a really good bass guitar player. The album will give you an unforgettable, groovy jazz fusion stuff along with Enrico's high professional, intense and really interesting bass guitar playing! This is a truly worth-hearing album! Don't doubt, check it out!! And I am more than sure that after listening to "48 hour odyssey", you will be craved for getting and listening to his next forthcoming solo album!
Love music! Roman. Russia.

Something for Everyone

Whatever your mood is, this cd's got something for everyone. There's slow songs for those seeking the laid back vibe, and then there's upbeat energetic numbers for people who want to get the funk out. Top-notch musicianship and clever songwriting are apparent in each cut. I highly recommend this sonic adventure.

World Class Bass Playing
author: Ela Formisano and Guy Stoops
When it comes to great bass playing with a tight rhythm section and a haunting melody that incorporates luscious female vocals, the track "Apulia Arabian Night" stands from the rest in terms of technique, sophistication and sensuality. The deep pounding rhythm intertwines with a very subtle bass line reminiscent of Larry Antonino, Brian Bromberg and Wayman Tisdale. Quite an infectious pace and a beautifully well mixed musicianship that keeps growing on you. World class bass playing with an Italian touch that may lack sufficient air play to be fully appreciated by a discerning audience
