East of Innocence (EOI) of St. Paul, MN bravely embarked as a powerfully harmonic duo and band.


Both Marcy Vonne' and Jennifer VonGroven grew up with music. Jen was raised around Barbershop quartets, dabbled in instruments and sang in competitive choirs. Marcy, who also competed a great deal, began piano lessons at age 4. She performed in rock and metal bands before meeting Jen at a local dive bar in 2002. They began singing together the next day.

As a duo, EOI spent years trying to break the stereotype that acoustic equals folk. To prove that they truly rock they now have a lead guitarist, bassist and drummer on reserve for larger venues and festivals.
