e.p. hall is a songwriting project in bloomington, indiana known for its sentimental vocals, bookish lyrics, growley synth lines, and fingerstyle guitar. The project's influences include various diy, freak-folk, and new weird america minimovements. The most well known of the e.p. hall recordings is the 2006 6-song ep 'The edge the middle'. Other releases include 'this is a demo' from 2003.
The project has been described as having a "haunting vocal style and unique finger-picked guitar combined with warm and engaging keyboards and effects to create beautifully mournful songs".
Former member j.w. hall (of lone logician) left the band in 2007, though collaborations with others, including present synthman joshua radicke, continue.
The upcoming release 'Mommy Crow' is due out in 2009.
