BIO

Epic born in Oakland and raised in Los Angeles, never had the desire to be an artist. In the early years his gift was writing, he would write stories and scripts for movies and plays. As a shy child Epic would find peace in writing, but God had an entirely different plan for his life. During his early teenage years his brother formed a rap group called Divine Quest. The group at that time consisted of two people (Epic's brother and a friend) it was the desire of his brother to have another member. And, off of the suggestion from their mother, Epic was welcomed into the fold. Little did the brothers know that the situation would birth a great desire in Epic to be the best he could be. After the group ended Epic went solo doing his own music ministring at church shows here and there. Until one day he desided to hook up with five other emcees and the group 79 was born. Though not heard of by many 79 was a success, selling up to 6000+ copies with no promotion. The expirence showed Epic the big picture, how emcees that believed in something greater than themselves could make an impact. Traveling from the Big Apple to the heart of Texas, from Virgina to Arizona Epics vision grew. Now, Epic moving forward in God's divine purpose for his life. CEO of his own company Epicenter Entertainment, a joint venture with Brx2. Epic's CD " The First" has sold more than 3000 copies and has made top ten on various Hip hop radio charts. The platform to Epic's vision is now one step closer to being complete. The vision to bring sinners into the knowledge of our Lord and savior, while showing those in the church that you can truly be yourself in him. While at the same time being able to achieve surpreme status in the game, platinum plagues, Grammys, to prosper, to be "The First".

I'm surprised!!! Hip hop at it's finest
author: Jamal B.

I don't really listen to this form of hip hop, (no cussin', no gun play, drug dealin', killin',etc.) but I must say I am surprised. Epic's "The first" CD is hip hop at it's finest, if he was known he'd make waves in the industry. But that's what makes it so good he has none of the industry red tape to hold him back from his view of life. For a rookie he plays this Cd like a vet, making only a few bad plays. I know he will raise his game on the second Cd, that's if he makes one. Anybody who is a fan to real hip hop will find something that they will feel. Epic if your listening when can we expect a new Cd, I know you got a lot more to say.

I just copped "The First" and I thought it was a tight CD. I am a fan of gospel rap and as far as I'm concerned Epic is light years ahead of a lot of emcees out there. I think he put together a pretty good CD and to think this is his first effort. I look forward to hearing his next CD, Epic you have a new fan.......Rich T.
