Album Notes

Imix Shish and Mike Mollura go way back. They used to rock it garage style in Exeter, PA in the alt-rock WDD (even making an appearance at May Day and Crestwood Pool). Keeping their collaboration alive over the years, the duo rocked bowling alleys, basements, fairgrounds and clubs in the Reading, PA punk/hardcore outfit the Afterglows. Proudly still playing songs they wrote in 1998, the duo formed Equals Conquest in 2005, when Mike was a retail assassin and Imix was drowning in legalese. Working in quick fashion (compared to now, anyhow), in 2006 the duo released Manifest Destiny, a collection of sonic soundscapes/ indie rock/pop/ electronic beats/ awesomeness, described by a listener as "the kind of music you can listen to again and again, and always discover something new."

The duo is currently prepping their sophomore effort, an as yet untitled record which will feature 13-16 new songs. The new record is being done in the same fashion as "Manifest Destiny" - on the duo's own terms, on their own time, as equals, and with only themselves to please. Rumor has it that the new record is somewhat of a concept album, with a broader dynamic range than "Manifest Destiny." What does that mean? You'll have to stay tuned to find out...
