Choosing the flute as her first instrument, Erica Berry began her career as a musician in the Berkeley Unified School District. Participating in numerous jazz bands, marching bands, and orchestra's, Erica discovered a passion for the art of performing. Becoming involved in school plays, public speaking contests and various choirs, Erica Berry began her journey to becoming, not just a musician, but an entertainer.

Joining the Young Musicians Program at U.C. Berkeley while in High School, Erica became aware of her vocal talents. After two unsuccessful attempts to enter the program as a flute major, in desperation she decided to sing. David Tigner, world-renowned Baritone and vocal coach recognized a special gift. From that moment on, Erica's primary focus became her voice.

Erica went on to study voice at Howard University. With formal classical training and participation in the Howard University Gospel Choir, there was no doubt that Erica was fast becoming a voice of the future. Inspired by the likes of Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Sarah Vaughn, Sade and the artist formerly known as Prince, Erica devoted herself to the art of singing and the craft songwriting.

Erica Berry's debut album entitled "Life & Love", pays tribute to the old while making a statement for the new generation of vocalists. Because of her unique and refreshing style, Erica has received rave reviews from media, music critics, and the general public. Making appearances every where from Tower Records to Planet Hollywood, Erica Berry proves time and time again she is not just another singer, but a personality.
