Born the oldest girl of six siblings, including two other girls, Erica was born in Charleston, Missouri to Reverend Wiley Reed and Evangelist Frankie Daniels. She dedicated her life to serving God following her baptism at age 13 at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, MO.

During those days, this family church swayed every Sunday with scores of relatives who made up the choir, ushers, and ministries praising God “for His many blessing”. Her steady diet of The Williams Brothers, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Clark Sisters and Shirley Caesar are reflective in her contemporary gospel, first CD, “The Time is Now”.

She began at an early age writing and singing songs with siblings and community gospel groups such as, “The Miracle Four” and the Charleston Community choir presented Erica with the opportunity to excel in her gift from God. “Erica and my other children were always writing and singing church songs”, explains her mother Frankie Daniels. “But you could see that special gift in Erica”. “She would start with a hum and oh my, what a powerful blessing of a voice God put in such a tiny frame”. “She always said that one day she would sing God’s praises to the world”.

Through many trials, tribulations and setbacks, she continues to sing, praise and glorify God in her heart. Erica has learned how to depend on Jesus and knows that she “can do all things through Christ, who strengthens her” (Philippians 4:13).

“The Time Is Now” is dedicated to her Mother, Father, Husband, Sons, and siblings, who always encouraged her to share her anointed gift with others.
