Album Notes

Music has been a part of her life from the time she was born. With her Father as a musician, her Mother as a singer, music never ceased to be a part of daily life. Erica was put in the children's choir by her Mother at church when she was just 3 years old. As she grew older, singing became more than just something she liked to do. It became something she couldn't live without. It became a part of who she was, and more importantly, one of the means through which she would express and declare to the world who God is to her in her life.

When asked about her songs, Erica states, "I can't help but express music the way God has given it to me with all my heart. With all that I have, and all that's within me, I've given the gift back to Him, and it's all His for Him to use. I'm so thankful for the ability to worship God in song, and for the musical gifts and talents God has given me. My prayer is that my ministry, my songs, my candid and simple lyrics about everyday life, will bless someone in a real way."

Her sound is a mix of R&B, neo-soul, pop, and contemporary Christian. Some would refer to it as “Urban Inspirational”. She talks about every day situations that we experience, but always brings it back home to the fact that Jesus Christ is who she lives for every day of her life.
