The second release this year for singer/songwriter Eric Bettencourt, Two Wine Glasses/The Fear contains a mix of new and older songs all written by Bettencourt. The title tracks will be included on Eric's second LP The Giraffe Attack Collection (due for release in September) while the remaining three songs are bonus tracks for Two Wine Glasses/The Fear. Both “America Colossus” and “Lighthouse” were in the running for The Giraffe Attack Collection but in the end were held from the final track order. “This Big House” is a brand new tune, this version of which was filmed and recorded for inclusion on Eric’s Youtube channel. A full band version will undoubtedly be heard on a future release.
The Giraffe Attack Collection, due out September 15, 2009, is a collection of songs that were developed and recorded with the help of Eric’s rock and roll band, Giraffe Attack. Though the listener will notice a bit of a departure from Bettencourt’s more folky influence as his classic rock influences come shining through, The Giraffe Attack Collection maintains the catchiness and depth of its predecessor, Fine Old World.
