One week and four short sessions in a garage studio produced this first album for Eric Burton. Originally intended to be a demo CD, the album quickly grew to eight tracks with most songs being cut after the first live guitar/vocal recording. Based on real life experiences, “Short Set” takes inspiration from life spent in the South East, California, and even a small town in Alberta. Most songs were written after a tragic car accident took Eric’s wife in 2005 leaving him with a unique perspective on life. Check out “Hope’s Song” written for Eric’s daughter who was born with Down Syndrome. Different is just a point of view!

I cried the first time through, remembering Julie; I smiled (mostly) the second time around, concentrating on precious Hope. You are an inspriration, Eric. I'll be listening a lot .... and watching for more.

I can't stop listening to this CD. Every song has such a deep meaning to it. The lyrics are incredible and matched perfectly to your music. And yes, I cry every time I listen to it. Your going to give Jimmy Rankin a run for his money.
