Definitely not "just for kids"
author: Putnam
This CD is the cure for road rage. Sounds hyperbolic, right? Wrong. It is road tested in LA and Phoenix traffic conditions during rush hour (and on a 1500 mile holiday road trip with two kids). Eric's range and lyrics will have the whole family enjoying the ride...wherever that may lead. :)

Eric Hansen - Nobody knows
author: kathleen brookes
This CD was purchased because I loved the title "Circle of Smiles", and the children in my class love it also. We have also enjoyed all the other songs and the song "nobody knows" always sparks a new discussion. We have talked about the bath tub, and sourkrout and who ate the last piece of cake! Eric Hansen is an insightful artist who's work is very much aligned with the delight and wonder that comes with being a child.

Wonderful songs, for children of all ages (!)

The CD is a wonderful. My absolute favorite song is "Charlie the Frog" since it tells a story. The songs are very catchy, and make me want to sing along. This is a must-have for parents.

One tricky thing is he makes you think.

On Nobody Knows, some songs sound like kids' music and then turn into grownup music. "Let it Rain" starts very soft. In the background you're hearing more singing. I make good pictures in my mind. The ending is very sweet because it sounds like a lullaby.
"I Am I" makes me think about poor people. They still have dignity. They should be important to everybody.
Eric Hansen doesn't sound like a kids' singer. Everyone I played this to likes it too. Eric is a gorgeous singer. Some of his songs are very serious, like "True Friends." When I let my mother listen, she was very proud of me because I could listen to grown up music. This song reminds me about some of my family who are gone. They are still watching over me, and every time I go past the church, I say God bless them too.
All of the songs are pretty. But I also like "The Sky is Crying" and "Circle of Smiles" best. They make me think about myself and others. The rest of the songs cheer me up. I think Eric thinks we can handle the grownup songs. But other people give us kiddy CDs because they think we can't handle it. But you know what? We can!
Some of the songs are a story, like "Charlie the Frog" and "Leap of Faith." One tricky thing is he makes you think. "Charlie the Frog" is not just a story. It is about friendship and dependence. And it is important to every child to count on their grownups. "Leap of Faith" is about when you don't know how to do something, don't say, "I can't do it."
