Album Notes

Eric Holland's new songs reflect the feeling of the Gringo and Latino in the Southwest who are victims of romance, fiesta and cursed heartache. The remaining are Holland's haunting, interpretive, timely Americana ditties that depict the mirage driven-determination of the immigrant struggling to cross the shared Southwest border. This Marty Robbinesque flavor is fueled by Holland's Spanglish poetic license that colors the desert from Springtime to a more darker season of hope.. Throughout "Angel in the Desert" and "Devil's Highway" , Holland seems to follow the footsteps of these somewhat lucky Latinos through their misadventures of present day immigration.... Por Favor...Give an open mind and ear to this well researched, long-awaited masterpiece.
