Eric would like to thank CDBaby for helping him to sell CDs to more than 15 states and more than 10 countries around the world all by word of mouth and without a record label.
Eric Milano's self-titled debut, released independently in 2004, marks his first solo effort. Formerly the lead singer of Ten Degree Lean, (New York City based pop-soul-blues rockers), the band called it quits when bandmate Chris Pickford was killed while saving lives as a fireman during the World Trade Center tragedy.
Comparisons to The Wallflowers, Ben Harper, John Mayer, Counting Crows, Matchbox 20 and Ryan Adams have all been thrown his way, but none truly describe his style. The record is a diverse collection of songs, no two sounding similar, yet all unmistakably branded with Eric's own sound; A sound that includes potent, emotive vocals, lyrics that flow from the soul, and music that'll grab your ear and hold on tight.
Eric's music is now also available "a la carte" ($0.99 per song) at the iTunes Music store.
REVIEWS:
Staff reviews at reknown A&R company that has discovered #1 hits and mediated deals for hundreds of artists.
"...Most compelling, passionate and inspiring vocal performance I've heard from an unsigned artist this year. Great work..."
"...What impresses me most about this recording is your passionate sounding vocal approach. I have the feeling you could sing the phonebook and make it sound soulful..."
"...His style is very appropriate to what this listing is asking for. Eric and his songs have commercial potential on the lines of John Mayer, Ben Harper, The Wallflowers etc..."
"...I really like this haunting piece--I like its simplicity and honesty. feels like it should be in a movie..." [referring to 'Make It Right']
"...Dear Eric, You've got solid songs with a beautiful rich voice. 'Make it Right' really brings out the aching quality in your vocal and is a lovely song, with a beautiful verse melody and great instrumental arrangements..."
"...While it isn't designed to pay off in a commercial sense, 'Anna' conveys a distinct artistic identity, and I think it points you in a viable direction..."
"...Hey Eric- I love the Lovett/Isacc vibe on this stuff- you really have found your sound. The arrangements are simple and easy to listen to. Vocals are strong throughout..."
"...Dear Eric, Your songs have a solid appeal with sophisticated melody lines and structures. 'Make It Right' is really a moving song both in melody and the simplicity of the production. 'Alone No More' has a great pop feel..."
Eric and his band had the #1 song out of 11,000 songs in the rock category on garageband.com in March of 2003.
Comments by various web surfers...
If only more of this were on the radio, things would be better
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Wow. Period.
This track has both great originality and mood. The vocals were superior, and I am a very, very tough critic. Yet I have no criticism. Well done, gentlemen.

Better than Kravitz...mo blues!
You're better than Lenny Kravitz. You play the blues for real. I dig it.
New York, NY
Got a lot of potential. What the hell are you doing here? Might want to shorten your song though. Radio won't play anything over 3 and a half minutes usually.
Springfield, Hartford
Why doesn't this band have a contract?
Great job all around guys.

Loved it...
author: MI can't say enough how much I enjoyed this CD. It carried me through a train ride upstate and I got quite a few songs stuck in my head (in a very good way). I have since listened to it over & over again. It reminds me of being a young and listening to an album with my parents. Odd to say but I feel like it's the type of music that transends age - and everyone can appreciate it. SO - buy it - listen to it - pass on the good news that you've found something beautiful. M
these guys will really go places.they just need a little bit of experience
author: John,Accra- GhanaEric you are just great, and I believe you will really make international. The track "Alone No More" really touches my heart.Hey men keep up with the good and very sensational vocal. It is uncomparable. Lots of love John,Accra-Ghana
Soft and bitter sweet... like the cookie
author: MoMo with the MoJoIt's hard to not get attached to the voice on this record. Each song feels as if he's singing two feet from you, his heart and soul pouring through his voice into your ears with a soft, yet deeply emotional musicality. From the liner notes, it appears that Eric wrote, produced, mixed and designed this record. His involvement alone seems testament to the effort and ambition that went into this album...and you can hear it in his voice. Firstly, "Alone No More" resonates with a dark mystery, but you jump right into the chorus, vowing never to be alone, because he instills the faith that human companionship is what he/we need to survive. "Make it Right" is sweet and sends a fluttering of chills through your stomach, down to you toes. "Weight": Doesn't that remind you of Bruce Springsteen? Evolution...yeah. I really melt with "Tuesday Came." Whether it's Eric's angelic voice, or the subtle feeling projected through the combo of notes, or both...this one is speaking of and talking immortality. Lastly, I'd like to just "dumb it down," if you will, cuz "got some holes," is the antidote to thinking too much about life's chaotic bullshit. Eric nails the point...we just gotta let go and breathe. This is a special talent...just aching to break through the superficiality that has silver plated the music industry of late. While his heart may have some holes that need filling, his music is far from speckled, and indeed, he has so much more to give. His voice and his instrumentaion is, if nothing else, heartfelt and devoted.
