ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Eric C. Mullis is a multi-instrumentalist who has studied and performed with musicians from the United States, France, West-Africa, Cuba, and Taiwan. He draws on these diverse musical traditions and creates rhythmic compositions that utilize an array of sounds and themes: hand drums, drum-kit, vibraphone, marimba, synthesizers, and samples. "Traditions" features West-African drumming, jazz-fusion and ambient tracks that together create a rich sound-scape. Mullis is currently regularly performing with the jazz-fusion quartet Actual Proof which will be releasing a CD of original music in the summer of 2009.
