Eric's meaning of "Sunchild!" is: "Sun" or the light that provides you energy, the continuing reassurance of waking up to light, & warmth that is forever available. "Child" is the innocence that we all carry inside of us, the natural imagination we create without the influence of society's behavior, & the practically minimal time period it takes to heal.

Eric's has a strong background in jazz, pop, r&b, world, traditional Mexican, bossa nova, hip hop, electro, & new wave. Together, he mixes these genres to create an interpretation for his "Sunchild!" stories.

"Maria Juanita," "Thats Just Me," & "One More Shot" all lead the Mexican-American version of drug, sex & alcohol. "Anthem of Freedom," "The Sun," and "Unconsciously" are a statement of freedom & independence. "Sunchild!" is the nu-jazz, bossa nova'ed version of the album title. "May" and "Deeper Than Physics" are the slow ballad, love themed songs.
