I'm Seriously Impressed

Wow! Erin has a beautiful voice. The music is heartfelt, stirring, and proportional. It has a good mix of instruments. It does sort of remind me of CSNY and Joni. 'Unfounded' reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on, and it remains my favorite track on this album. Why did I not discover this earlier?

Her music is playful, melodic and jovial at times. Simply put, it is fantastic and seamless. Erin stays true to her folk influences on her 10-track CD. Her vocal and lyrical strength on such tracks as "gogama rocks" and "you!" are understated, reminiscent of an early day Natalie Merchant. Each track of this CD offers interesting mixes of pop, classic rock and jazz influences with a strong folk base. Gignac's voice and musical talent on guitar and piano is as substantial recorded as it was the first time I had heard her voice live at Windsor Folk.
Seeing Gignac with a guitar in her hands, two long braids dangling over either shoulder, you could never expect to hear what she has to offer when she turns her voice loose.

musically sparkling effort. The superb 10-song set showcases all of
Erin's strengths and even includes solo showcases on guitar and
piano...definitely one of the finest indie releases to come this way in the last
few years.
