Album Notes

Who am I?

A scientist, a wife, a jack-of-all-trades, a fidgeter, a forgiver, a collector of stories, a pilgrim of Querencia, a wader of waters, and now a singer and songwriter.

After years of dutiful piano practice, regurgitating vocal arpeggios and Italian arias, I discovered that I needed to say something more personal with my music. So I became a songwriter. Some of my tunes are profound, some silly, some cathartic, but all are honest.

My first album, Midnight Odyssey, is a collection of tunes I wrote / co-wrote during February Album Writing Month and the 50/90 challenge (see www.fawm.org) over the past 3 years. It is a dream fulfilled to be able to share this music with you now. This would not have been possible without a few amazing people, who I would like to credit here:

Frances Riley, Vancouver, BC: Co-writer of “Midnight Odyssey”.

Glenn Case, Spokane, WA: Co-arranger and feature artist on “Happy If” and “Pandora”.

Hilary Blythe Lang, Vernon, CT: Cover artwork, graphic designer and photographer.

Carl Saff, Chicago, IL: Mastering.

Erik Didriksen, New York City, NY: Co-writer of “Heartland”, Arranger / Producer of “Heartland” and “Midnight Odyssey”, and all-in-one mixer / trainer / advice-giver / head of the cheering squad for the rest of the album.

To one and all—thank you for listening. I hope you enjoy.
