ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A native West Philadelphian is the R&B/HIP HOP ROCKSTAR and proud recipient of the UIMA (Urban Independent Music Awards) for two consecutive years. The first honor was awarded in 2004 for "DJ of the year" and the second in 2005 for "R&B Artist of the year", and most recently "E" was also the recipient of the Velocity Magazine Award for "Best R&B Album" for "The Prelude" and has taken the top spot in the R&B category in the highly respected industry showcase "Faces in the Crowd" in his hometown of Philadelphia. "E" adorns the DC metro area with his relentless talent and multifaceted ensemble roles that resounds his presence as a breakout star. His career was well placed as he ignited in the music industry as a seasoned performer, singer/songwriter, self taught musician and producer. In acknowledgement to his skills, he gives tribute to his influences such as Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Mint Condition, D'Angelo, R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, and Lauryn Hill. When asked how he could be an element of inspiration to the music industry, he gracefully smiled and said that he was here to help elevate the already wonderful state of R&B music and is bidding for his voice to be heard. Born into a musically talented family, (his aunt and mother) are undeniable testaments that he is no stranger to capturing any crowd and that his decision to become an entertainer was without question. While his role as a DJ bolted like lighting as he spun at major hot spots in DC and while rocking the "wheels of steel" for the Latin Hip-Hop powerhouse known as CRISTOPOLIS, E's effortless transition into songwriting and R&B performances lead him to share the stage with the national recording artist "Musiq Soulchild", Russell Simmons girl group "Blac Buddafly" Avant, Marsha Ambrosius. Pleasure P, and "Styles P" just to name a few. While performing in countless major showcases as well as establishing his own platforms with management company Phat Cats entertainment LLC, he graces audiences with intoxicating doses of R&B vocals, his driving force of HIP-HOP smoothed with a swagger and the performance energy of a ROCKSTAR. He illuminates with devotion when he describes his conviction while out on stage as a do or die situation. He proclaims, "I love the feeling I get when I'm out on stage. Since I am a new artist on the rise, the audience looks at me with expectations to be impressed, and I just go out there and give my all to every performance because I want that crowd to remember who I am long after I've left the stage." In addition to the triumphs of the early superstar, he offers to the world the highly anticipated debut album entitled The Prelude. The album contains all mega hits and one of the featured songs entitled Speechless gained national exposure accredited with E as he was a guest on the new dating reality show "Get the Hook Up". The Prelude features productions from some of the metro area's hottest up and coming producers: Romeo Jade (FaceMen Productions),Jewels (Sunz of Soul/Infinite Soul Music LLC)., and the new phenomenon from Virginia, Max Methods (Street Star Studios). E has already performed several tracks live and the response from the audience has been incredible. He rejoices that it has been a wonderful testing ground for him and it just increased his excitement to release this for all the fans that he has gained while promoting the project. He is a scorching new enticement that's indisputably ready to take the music industry by storm, so get ready world for THE R&B/HIP-HOP ROCKSTAR "E"!

Tha R&B Diva

Lovin It
I came across this cd just by doing a random search, I heard a lot about E so naturally I was skeptical, I listened to the sample tracks which ultimately lead me to get my copy, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed, the stand out tracks to me are On Everything, the sexy interlude Another Day, and Could I just to name a few, there's something for everyone on this album, this is one of the reasons why I love finding great new music.

LadyDR

Great 1st Impression
I have to admit when I first saw this album I kinda gave it the "c'mon son" look, but my curiousity got the best of me, I had to hear what this dude sounded like, and again i have to admit I was hoping that I would be able to clown it, but surprisingly enough this is a very solid album, the songs are decent (some are better than others) the production is rather tight and the lyrical content is typical at times but refreshing none the less, "E" has a way of drawing you into a song and that's a really good quality if you're a songwriter and his voice is very easy on the ears. The uptempo tracks are real radio friendly and definitely get you moving and the ballads "Could I' especially are very endearing and sincere, all in all I'm glad i decided to give this a chance, after all isn't that what discovering new music is all about?

dcsoulbrotha

A Solid Debut
I've had the pleasure of catchin' this dude as the opening act for Musiq Soulchild and he definitely made his presence felt, he is definitely a cat to look out for in the future, a solid 1st offering from this singer / songwriter on the rise.

The Rockstar's Girl

A Star Is Born
This cd is straight "FIRE"!!! E is in a class all by himself and his stage show is off the charts!!! This is just a taste because the best is yet to come from this rising star. It's not often that you come across an artist the sings, writes his own music, and produces as well. This brother is defintely the next Ne-yo but don't get it twisted his name is "E" yo!!!!!

KMG

Worth The Wait
It's interesting how I've been hearing so much about this guy, and I have to say, I'm really impressed, this album boasts very solid production, although I like some songs better than others, it's still a very solid effort both musically and lyrically, Happy Hour is an excellent opener that leaves you anxious to hear what else this project has to offer, Another Day is really hot, and In Essence has a bouncy vibe perfect to ride to. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for this dude, very promising indeed.

Music Connoisseur

FINALLY...SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!
It's been a long since a R&B artist hasn't sounded like other R&B artists out there. E has done it with a very solid album, as EACH TRACK brings a different flavor. This is definitely recommended if you're tired of hearing the same things on the radio, and it's beautifully written, especially the ballad Could I. A must have!!!

RNB Critic

Heavy Rotation
In todays music climate, you would be hard pressed to find an artist that lives up to your expectation, but I have to say that I'm truly impressed with the work and the quality of this release, check out the name "The R&B Hip-hop Rockstar' now that's a pretty bold moniker in itself so when hearing that you say to yourself "this better be good with a name like that" well I'm hear to let you know, it is that good, from the production, presentation, and the lyrical content, this cat "E" delivered the goods, this album stays in heavy rotation in my ipod and in my car, the standout track to me is On Everything which is a duet where "E" shows his vulnerable side trying to convince his lady that his ex no longer has a place in his heart and he's willing to put that On Everything, there are other gems on here as well, trust me, your skip button will get no usage when you put this on, a great job indeed, looking forward to hear what "E" has in store next.
