Album Notes

Ernest has been playing music nearly all his life. Piano at age six. Clarinet at age 9. Guitar at age 11. Sax/bassoon in Jr. High. Flute in college. Electric bass in 1986. Although the reed skills are gone, Ernest plays and teaches piano, guitar and electric bass. He is a full-time musician.

These days, Ernest performs mostly in the "elderly circuit," playing and singing 30s/40s tunes at personal care, assisted living and retirement facilities. He also performs at preschools, singing and playing songs from his new CD, "kids'songs!". He occasionally performs in the public arena, and on Sunday mornings, Ernest plays a contemporary church service. And then there's the occasional wedding or private party too.

Ernest first dove into songwriting in the late 80s. His first CD -- "Ernest S. Papay - Songwriter, Composer Musician" -- was released in 2003. This CD contains four songs and nine piano compositions. His current CD of children's songs called "kids'songs!" was released in May 2005. "kids'songs!" works great with preschool and early elementary ages.
