At the dinner table, five-year-old Elizabeth Wyatt surprised her singer-songwriter Mom (Susan Kay Wyatt) with her first “God Song.” She had been inspired by a short mantra her Mom shared with her just days before—and began singing a tune with simple lyrics. Elizabeth next requested that they go to the piano to write the music, then to the studio to record her first CD, so it could “be on the radio.” The result can be heard in the heartfelt music on her first 2 song album.
Elizabeth’s parents are ever vigilant in guiding her to walk her own path, and express her many gifts. Whether or not music is her path, her compassion, connection with spirit, and concern for the world that is expressed in these songs are truly a gift to all who listen.
Arranged and produced by Susan Kay Wyatt and Rob Peters, from The Twelve Gifts of Birth MUSIC Project. The tracks are simple and compelling and capture the original intent behind Elizabeth’s creations to touch the hearts of all people and heal the world.
It begs the questions: What is your 5 year old really thinking about? How much do they understand? Am I allowing my child to empower herself to make a difference in the world?
Let the conversations begin…
Elizabeth is now 9 years old. After several years of not writing any songs, she recently co-wrote a song "Meant to Be Green" that is on Susan Kay's upcoming new CD "Life is the Party". For more about what they are up to now go to their fun VLOG. http://susankaywyatt.com/
