Album Notes
Escape Act formed in summer 2006, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The three-piece produce upbeat, alternative guitar-based pop songs and have been compared to the likes of The Clash, Pixies, The Smiths, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Superchunk.

The band self-released a three track EP 'Hot Air' in 2007 before working on new recordings with producer Andy Miller at Chem19 studios, Glasgow. A single 'God Says' was released in June 2008 on limited 7" vinyl, followed by the 10-track album 'Loosely Based On Fiction' in November 08.

"This is just hugely enjoyable, a fresh and exciting listen that continues to delight on every successive listen. Rather like the Strokes, here is a band who have realised that less is definitely more. Pure punky joy." 17 Seconds Blog
