Album Notes

Each year at Christmas we attempt to create the perfect “Norman Rockwell” Christmas. Yet, somehow, amid the shopping, decorating, social functions, high-paced schedules, we can lose the meaning--our best attempts at creating happiness can come up short. While on my knees praying one day, I asked God to help me slow down and I talked with Him about how hard it is to appreciate the fullness of Christmas joy amid all the hustle and bustle. I said to Him, “Just take me back to Bethlehem.” In a moment’s breath, I was there at the stable watching Mary and Joseph care for Jesus. I could almost hear the angels sing….and then I knew. I realized the Father’s love and sacrifice of sending His only Son to earth, fully knowing what He would have to endure.
Picturing Jesus in a stable, I greatly appreciate the warmth of my clothes and home, my kitchen filled with an abundance of food, my indoor plumbing. I see the love for baby Jesus in Joseph and Mary’s eyes and remember that I was blessed this way three times with my sons. I realize that every single ornament on my tree represents the many blessings God has already provided. To find Christmas joy I only had to go as far as my knees. I give all glory and honor to God for making this CD possible. I would never have the courage without Him, and count this as yet another one of my blessings.
Thanks to my husband and sons for loving and supporting me. Thank you for bringing my Christmas music into your home, for your support, and friendships. I pray this music draws your closer to our Savior, the newborn, Heavenly King.
