Since 1993, Inside Sounds has worked closely with WONDERS: The Memphis International Cultural Series in producing recordings for cultural exhibitions. The Spirit of Florence is the seventh of these recordings and was produced in conjunction with the 2004 exhibition Masters of Florence: Glory & Genius at the Court of the Medici.

While several of the pieces feature beautiful vocal interpretations, the ensemble demonstrates its finesse with captivating and delightful instrumentals.
