ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sandia Dreams captures the feeling of the landscapes of New Mexico. They musically appear before the listener’s eyes as the ears take in the information of the breathtaking live sculptures of the mesas, mountains and rock forms. Thunderstorms, rains, and rolling rivers reverberate against canyon walls providing a relaxing backdrop to Sue Esserwein’s inspired musical odyssey. The overall mood evoked here is one of mystery, depth, the Presence in the land, and its creatures. Everything is connected, inspiring the listener to become part of the landscape as well and to experience the great mysteries of the ages. Soar like a hawk; fly like an eagle. Fly with the sparrows and feel the sound experience. Drums, strings, piano, guitar, Native flutes, Native chants and vocals create the canyons, hills, and sunsets as each composition orchestrates a personal inner journey.
