This amazing collection from this amazing artist is full of audio delights never available till now! Over thirty years of unreleased gems (17 tracks!) starting in 1967, the Summer of Love, up until the late 90's. With outtakes from Essra's first four albums, including "Primordial Lovers", this is an album that will be cherished by Essra fans and new listeners alike. For those not familiar with Essra, she's sung (performed or recorded) with Frank Zappa, Jerry Garcia, John Mellencamp, Carole King, Kool & the Gang, Bonnie Bramlitt and Keb Mo. She co-wrote songs with Al Jarreau, Bob Weir, Art Garfunkel and many more. She's the original voice from Schoolhouse Rock classics: Interjections, Sufferin' Till Suffrage, and Mother Necessity. Essra has released a about a dozen albums over the course of her long and steady career, producing consistently quality music. Her songs have been recorded by Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Lorrie Morgan and many many notable others. Essra's lyrical messages are moving and meaningful, profound yet earthy. She is devoted to peace and the protection of life on this planet. Her voice reaches the depths of our souls, like being touched by Mother Earth herself. Powerful yet vulnerable, Essra Mohawk is a voice like no other! One listening will inspire devotion to this unique singer/songwriter.

Amazing
author: Hippie Matt
Essra Mohawk's talent is so transcendent its almost scary at times. Listening to some of her earlier recordings I cant help but think "how does such a young woman make this music?". This is the music of someone who's been around since the beginning of time itself. She's like this ancient soul in an eternally youthful body. You can probably learn to be a good hack, but you cant learn what Essra has, she's just blessed with it.
"Revelations Of The Secret Diva" is quickly becoming one of my all-time favourite CD's. I have a feeling I'll still feel that way even years from now. If you've never heard her before, I cant say whether you'll like her or not, but I think she's amazing. One thing's for sure, she's no phony, she's real.
