Album Notes

My name is Estes Shane Whalen, most people call me Shane. People say that I am just a dreamer, but I've dreamed a thousand dreams that have come true. I’ve been through things, I’ve seen places. I’m very visual. A pretty full moon is my beacon, it wakes me up at night and lays me down for the day. I don’t ask why, I don’t need to know, I’m thankful some things are just that easy. Goodbye Mr. Redfish was and is. It’s an album about things and places, not being home at heart but finding your way, anyway. My journey has brought me home, where things and places have changed.

For the latest effort, I recruited my good friend Brian Wright to produce the record with his amazing band, The Waco Tragedies -- BWright, Sally Jaye, Jason 'Ace' Gonzalez, Fil Krohnengold, Willie C. Golden, Michael Starr and Deacon. We recorded every song 'live' in North Hollywood at Wagon Wheel Studios, under the flooding January rains, departing planes and warmth of Kentucky whiskey. If you listen closely, you just might hear the concrete talking.
