ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
America's favorite Catholic rocker/rapper, Ethan Keller collaborated with two-time Grammy winning producer Ted Greenberg (G. Love, Ben Harper, Chaka Khan) for this 2010 release. The new six-song EP, Profit, is stamped with Keller’s signature genre-bending style, an eclectic mix of folk, rock, soul, jazz, funk and hiphop. Keller has coined the term “Americanahop” to try and describe it. The tracks vary largely in style; from the edgy funk-rock of "Rock and Roll Will Save Your Soul," to the mellow beach-rock of "Keep on Lovin;" from the groovy Citizen Cope tinged "Last Day," to the jazzy Steely Dan tinted "Fallen Idol;" and the last two tracks, "Come to Pass" and "Prophet," which set old-school rhymes chock full of religious manifesto to a jazz-funk-hop-orchestra.
