The reviews so far:
"Ethan Stone and his band are restoring my faith in rock and roll. His new ‘Ain’t That the Way‘ CD is the best album to be released by anyone in twenty years."
critic Craig S. Semon
“Stone has taken the best of blues, rock, and folk artist’s souls, and merged them with his own. He writes from the soles of his feet, and his age has honed his passion. Whether singing of heartbreak or joy, he brings fervor to the keyboard, and wrings furor and adoration from his throat.”
Doneen Durling, Winchendon Courier, Winchendon, MA
"This guy is the man!"
members of the band Soulive
"Ethan Stone is better than Dave Matthews...and Phish...and Avril Lavigne...Ethan's music represents the future of the 'singer songwriter' genre.
Polish up his Grammy!"
New York DVD founder Brian Brodeur
"Congratulations. It's a pleasure, really."
David Bowie, when meeting Ethan Stone for the first time
"The charismatic leader. The inspiration."
Boston Music Awards’ Producer of the Year, David Minehan
"Ethan is such a great songwriter"
Producer/engineer Jamie Foulds, ECMA winning engineer 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006
“How one person can contain so much talent and not EXPLODE defies explanation?! His drive to do it ‘right’ makes listening fun, and an adventure. His live performances are mesmerizing, and you’ll come away glad you went in the first place! Ethan is also the driving force behind the best family-friendly entertainment events in the 9-town area … the best events of their kind that I can remember over the past 10 years!”
Jay Deane, President, WJDF 97.3FM
“Just when I was getting ready to stop listening to rock demo’s, Ethan’s appeared...’WOW’, I’m hooked !!!”
Producer, Co-founder of Moxie Music USA / Overtom Music, Thomas O’Keefe
“Ethan Stone approaches music from a whole different direction than most musicians. He neatly fits into every possible category without trying to fit into any. The guy has a knack for writing
stand out songs and Too Late is a good example of this.”
Paul Zimmerman, First Coast News, Jacksonville, FL
“Too Late is a wonderful funky, bluesy and wry tune, bringing to mind the clever artistry of Randy Newman, with a similar plaintive and charismatic vocal delivery. Everything works here – the unmistakably funky groove of the Hammond, the laid back jazzy tempo, the trumpet fills, the honest lyrics. Rating: A+”

I think this is a great CD. One you can continue to listen to and sing along with again and again without getting sick of it. My favorite is 'Glass of Inspiration'. The CD is awesome to hear, but to see Ethan live in concert is breathtaking. He puts his heart and soul into his music. Hearing Glass of Inspiration in person brought sweet tears to my eyes. Thanks Ethan.

You know its kind of weird that you have a tint of Joe Cocker in your vocals. I love Joe and his music. Please keep up the great work and always remember to keep it real.
