Album Notes

Pioneering musician e:trinity boldly goes where no other electronica artist has gone before on his new CD, "various shades of blue," blending the sound of Philippine kulintang gongs with drum n' bass breakbeats, Tagalog vocal samples over rolling, sub-sonic basslines, juxtaposing hip-hop turntablist scratching with folk Rondalla music and meditative Chinese string instruments with steady downtempo drum loops.

Nothing bad to say about this album!!

I purchased Various Shades of Blue a couple of years ago and I still always come back to this album as one of the classics! I love the asian inspired instruments, especially in "shi.bei.jiu." Elson Trinidad is a very talented artist and this album is so special because each track is something different. If you like electronic music that mixes different cultural sounds together and pushes the envelope--this is for you! Check it out, you will NOT be dissapointed.

Just the right mix of electronica and traditional Asian instruments to make for a unique and memorable listening experience. A fine album to add to your collection if you're looking for something refreshingly different.
