GROOOOOOOVY!
author: Gary Hanis
When I suddenly discovered that Eric Turner/Eastagte had released a third disc, and having purchased and loved the other two, I had to own this one. I was NOT disappointed. Eric served up yet another slab of hard rockin' blues tunes in the veign of Frank Marino, B.T.O., and Robin Trower but this time he throws in dashes of Black Sabbath. The music on this platter gets a bit darker than his previous releases. But, there is a variety on this disc as well. There is the slower "The Seeker" and the bluesy "No One Else To Blame". There is also a regae/rocker song called, "Family of The Living God". And for this release, check out "The Long Journey Home" and the title track, "Golgotha" for a couple of instrumentals. Lyrically, his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ shines through like a light in a dark place. Pick up this disc, and kick the devil in the face!

I have the first two Eric Turner CDs and love them. Eric's music is both bluesy and dark, but shines with the light of Christ too. The new CD, "Golgotha", is even darker musically than the previous releases, so it comes off with a heavy feeling throughout that makes you feel that this music is just closing in around you. You can feel almost every song deep in your soul if you listen.
This CD is worlds better than Eric's previous CDs. I pray he keeps making music for years to come!
