Album Notes

EUGENIA
& The Boys

This singer/songwriter/guitar & banjo player is doing what she does best "creating a sound", and with her talented band "The Boys" to back her up there is no telling where she is headed.
Eugenia's musical career started at the early age of 5 in Cleveland Ohio, singing in talent shows and performing for friends and family every chance she could. She taught herself how to play guitar so she could be part of the guitar group at her grade school church. She thought playing at the mass would be more fun than just attending the service (bad Catholic school girl). After high school Eugenia went to Cleveland State University for music performance, it only took her 2 years to realize that playing her own music was to be her passion so she left college and started a rock band called the Bimbos ( a3 piece female act with a lot of attitude). After playing in various bands including the Dandelion People in the early 90's and being a solo performer at many of Cleveland's music venues and coffee houses it was time for a move and the west coast was calling. Eugenia moved herself out to Arizona and put the right people together to take her music to the next level......
Meet The Boys:
Joseph Harris - Drums/Back Vocals
Joe has been playing with Eugenia for close to 5 years
now while working on his solo material and session work.
This rythmic Bostonian first hit the skins @ age 10 & he
credits his mother for his talents by making him get up
early every Sat. morn for drum lessons. Way to go mama
Harris!
Ryan Ritter - Guitar/Harmony
Ryan & Eugenia have been playing music together for many
years. He has been a creative force and friend for
the long hall and it shows in the music they create.
Ryan also fronts his own band "Three Second More", both
bands try to gig together whenever possible. Description:
Ryan is a 5 ft in a half stick of dynamite with a 8 inch
wick; he's bad man.
Tanya Laack - Bass
Tanya is the newest member of "The Boys", but don't
worry she is all woman. This bass diva originaly
hails from Wisconsin but has been making her mark in
Arizona for a while now.

Eugenia has shared the stage with many great performers including:
Sophie B. Hawkins, Leonna Neass, Michelle Malone, Tina Yothers, SoulCracker and Stevie Nicks. Some of her other credits include; tracks on 7 different compilation cds throughout the states (3 from commercial Radio Stations), having her songs played on both the Edge and the Zone stations in Phoenix as well as Wmms & The End radio stations in Ohio, she was nominated for Arizona's 2001 best female vocalist category and the listeners choice category directed by the Blaze radio station and the AIM Awards. Eugenia was given an award by her peers in 2001 for her involvement in promoting Arizona's music scene by arranging a cd Compilation of 16 area bands for the charity "Hospice Of The Valley". In 2003 Eugenia's song Calendar was chosen as Songwriter Universe's top 5 submitted original works for the month of November & her lyrics to Savior Of The Month were made mention in the Nashville publication American Songwriter Magazine in the noteworthy section for the Jan/Feb issue 2004.
Eugenia & The Boys are currently recording new material at The Saltmine Recording Studio in Phoenix for another release, Her first cd "A Womans Place" can be purchased at any Zia record store location, cdbaby.com/eugenia, any of the live shows and on talentmatch.com/eugenia.
