Album Notes

Euphony: (Eu'pho'NY) noun,
Any agreeable (pleasing and harmonious) sounds; a pleasing or sweet sound; an easy, smooth enunciation of sounds; a pronunciation of letters and syllables which is pleasing to the ear.

Originating from East Harlem, Mr. Fantastik and Slim Pikins are collectively known as Euphon. With a name deriving from euphony, the group holds true with an eclectic blend of jazz, funk, and soul producing a sound that's pleasing to the ears. Often brought up in comparison with one of the group's musical influences, A Tribe Called Quest, the group gladly accepts the comparison honorably.

From performances in and around the tri-state area, to spots on the coveted MTV Area tour series, the "Euphonic" experience for those who have attended the group's performances is refreshing. The lyrics are heartfelt stemming from daily life viewed through their eyes. Besides heart and emotion, Euphon bring a style without gimmicks touching new ground and breaking it, making Hip-Hop what it was...and what it is. Slated for a Fall 2003 release, Euphon's debut EP "Euphonics' plans to live up to its namesake.

Allow your ears to be pleased by Euphon-exemplifying what it means to be true emcees: creative in an art that has been forsaken and forgotten.
